Clarification
We start with a conversation about needs, scope and premises. It costs nothing. Here we also assess whether the assignment needs additional specialists before starting.

Analysis
A workshop-based review with your key personnel, at the office, on site or remote.

Report and recommendation
You get a documented risk picture with prioritised measures that can be carried out in practice.

Follow-up
We go through the results with your management and specialists. Many stay in our professional network afterwards.

Long-term advisory and consulting
We also serve as a permanent security advisor in projects and operating organisations, part-time or full-time, often over several years. Then we work as part of your own team. Large assignments and certain specialised report deliveries may require us to bring in or recruit additional specialists before delivery starts. We plan that together in the clarification phase.
Courses, conferences and seminars
We run courses and in-house training programmes in OT security, IEC 62443 and more, from an introduction for management to deep dives for automation and security personnel and others. We organise and contribute strongly to conferences and seminars where the community meets.

About Lumiar

Lumiar is an independent OT security consultancy based in Stavanger, Norway. We work for operators and suppliers in oil and gas, power, transport and other critical infrastructure. Norway is our home market, and we take on remote assignments outside Norway. Our work is rooted in international best practice and standards work, such as IEC 62443 and others.

The name comes from the Latin lumen, meaning light. Our job is to shed light on risk, architecture and barriers, and to lift competence and insight, so you can make good decisions. Clarity is rarely created alone. That is why we build a professional community of clients, colleagues and peers in Norway, the Nordics and worldwide, through courses, talks and standards work. We are happy to make introductions and build bridges between communities that ought to know each other.
