Kenneth Titlestad is the founder of Lumiar and an adviser in industrial cybersecurity, strategy, and technical leadership. He has around 20 years of experience in industrial IT and digitalization and has worked with security in industrial control systems for more than 15 years.
He spent nine years at Equinor, where he moved from IT infrastructure to security in OT and critical infrastructure after Stuxnet. At Sopra Steria he built up the company’s OT security practice as director for Industrial IT, OT, and cybersecurity. He was then Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Omny, before founding Lumiar in 2026.
He leads the working group in NEK NK 65 that works on IEC 62443 and handles it on behalf of Norway, and teaches and supervises at universities. He has a background in organizational psychology and business from the University of Bergen and Edinburgh Business School.
His work focuses on the boundary between engineering, security, organization, and business: how complex industrial risks can be understood and managed by both specialists and management, and how AI can be adopted safely where errors have physical consequences.
