Independence and collaboration

Our advice must stand on its own. Clients must be able to trust that a recommendation from Lumiar is not influenced by who we collaborate with or who owns what.

How we practice independence

We don’t sell technology and take no commission or referral fees from vendors we recommend.
We don’t provide investment advice.
We never share confidential client information or inside information with investors, analysts, partners, or others.
Board and advisory roles are assessed against existing engagements.
Before an engagement starts, we inform affected clients about collaboration agreements, advisory roles, ownership interests, and other circumstances that could create conflicts of interest.
Collaboration with consulting firms and other partners is open, and the client decides whether partners are brought into the engagement.
We say so if we aren’t the right adviser, and we decline engagements if our independence can’t be maintained.

Conferences

Kenneth Titlestad is also co-owner and managing director of the conference company Phenix Events, which organizes events including KI-dagene. Phenix Events has its own sponsors and partners. Sponsorships there do not influence Lumiar’s advice, and participant data from the conferences is not used in Lumiar’s sales.

Confidentiality

Plant data and information about clients’ security is handled under non-disclosure agreements. We never mention clients, findings, or engagements publicly without written consent.
